The in-club display will show your very own tile on our screens which display either your real name or a nickname of your choosing. Within the tile, it will display your current heart rate, your current number of calories burned as well as a percentage of your maximum target heart rate which also corresponds to the color of your tile. As you increase or decease your effort and your heart rate slows or quickens, your tile will change colors. We have dedicated MYZONE TV’s throughout the clubs so you and your trainer never lose sight of your heartrate.

We utilize a system called MYZONE to monitor your heart rate in real time. Through the use of targeted heart rate training, our trainers and coaches can dial in your workout to help you best achieve the results that you’re looking for in the shortest amount of time possible.

Our MYZONE heart rate straps are accurate within 99.4% of an EKG, making them one of the most accurate wearable technology pieces available on the market. To offer you even more flexibility, our MYZONE chest straps can store up to 16 hours of data without needing to by sync’d to a mobile app or in the club. That means you can throw your chest strap on, go workout and you still track every minute of your workout. What’s even cooler about the MYZONE straps, is that they are “smart” and learn your heart rate over time and will self-adjust as your performance level increases.

Through the MYZONE mobile app, you can “friend request” other people who have MYZONE straps. You can comment on their workouts or issue them a challenge through the app. It makes working out fun – even when you can’t be right next to your friends or partners. Who doesn’t like a little friendly competition?

With MYZONE you also earn MYZONE Effort Points, or MEPS. As a club we issue club-level challenges occasionally for prizes based on your total MEPS earned for an event, during a specified time or earned within a certain heart rate zone. We even participate in club vs. club challenges! For every 10 minutes in a certain heart rate zone, you earn a specified number of MEPS.

Whether it’s on your own or in conjunction with one of our training/nutrition programs, take control of your goals with MyFitnessPal! Tracking food and truly understanding how your nutrition impacts your results can sometimes feel overwhelming.  Keeping a food diary helps you understand your habits and increases your likelihood of hitting your goals, and MyFitnessPal is an excellent way to do that. With over 11 million foods entered into their database, there is no app that is better equipped or more user friendly.  To track your food intake you can simply scan the barcode of the item you’re eating or manually find them in the apps database.

 

If you’re working with one of our trainers, they can then log in and see your food diary. They will be able to follow along with your log to ensure you’re following the proper plan, getting the foods you need, and eating the right amount of food for your specific program.

 

On top of the food diary MyFitnessPal will also help you understand your calories, carbs, fats, and protein percentages for all the foods you eat. It will tell you how that particular food fits into your daily calorie goals, how it fits your overall goal, and will give you the nutritional information! And then, in case you want to know how to burn off the calories you’re eating, it will give you different ideas for activities and the amount of time you would need to do them for. As an example, to burn 250 calories you need to do 38min of cycling, 25min of running, or 1.5hrs of house cleaning! While those are not definitive ways to lose the calories you need to, especially because exercise is different for everyone, they sure are good ideas!

 

Nutrition is most often the hardest part of a journey to a healthier version of you. It can be confusing, overwhelming, and difficult.  A knowledgeable Personal Trainer and MyFitnessPal together can take away a lot of that anxiety and stress and give you structure for a path to success!
