Cathy's Life Changing Gift

About two years ago, my kids were scrambling for ideas of what to get Mom (me) for Christmas. I’d made it clear I didn’t want any more stuff that I didn’t need. They came up with the idea of a gym membership, including a trainer, at Snap Fitness in Basehor, to get me on track. Turns out it was the best present I’ve received in a long time. I’m 69, with no unrealistic desire to get a beach body. I wanted to improve my balance, which was becoming a problem, and regain my muscle strength and flexibility. Following a consult with Aly, my trainer, she came up with a program that has helped me to steadily improve. I’m not lifting 100-pound weights, but I’m lifting 100 percent more than when I began, my balance is better and flexibility has improved enormously. My planned program of workouts focuses on different sets of muscles each time - something I couldn’t have done on my own. Snap Fitness is a great gym, well-equipped and frequented by local people I recognize from one visit to the next. People are friendly and courteous. And it is CLEAN! I have a home gym, bought by the kids several years ago. It quickly became a place to hang handbags and sweaters. Without a knowledgeable trainer and a plan, I’d still be ignoring that home gym upstairs and I’d be no better off physically. Thanks, Aly and Snap Fitness
